Your Reformer Pilates Journey Starts Here
BodyBella Pilates Studio has two types of classes for people new to Reformer Pilates, so if you are an absolute beginner, you can start with an introductory session to orientate you to the Reformer and class structure, or join the Beginner classes paced more slowly than Group classes so you can get the hang of the fundamentals in four fun and easy sessions.

Step 1. Book a New to Reformer Pilates class
These classes are run fortnightly and are a great way to check out Reformer Pilates and see if is right for you.
Our 30-minute New to Pilates class is ideal if you have heard of Pilates Reformer but are not sure what it is. Mel will demonstrate the Reformer, answer your questions and give a tour of the Studio.
From this introductory session you can book in for the beginner classes to learn the fundamentals of Reformer Pilates.

Step 2. Learn Reformer Pilates fundamentals in four easy Beginner classes
The Beginner classes are great if you have never attended a Pilates Reformer class or if you need a refresher and haven't been to a Pilates Reformer class for a while. The slower pace helps you get the hang of the equipment and fundamentals before moving on to the Group Reformer classes.
The Beginner classes help you build confidence with your Reformer and the class format, understanding how to adjust the springs and machine for resistance training workouts that exercise the whole body, and learn each movement safely under Mel's guidance.
We recommend you attend at least four Beginner classes before joining Group Reformer.
In each Beginner class, you will learn new progressive movements and Mel uses modifications through the use of the springs on the Reformer and props.

What is Pilates Reformer?
The Pilates Reformer is a machine specially designed to allow the user to perform a wide variety of Pilates exercises, ranging from low-impact stretching (using the springs’ resistance for strengthening) to cardio workouts with the jump board (like a mini rebounder). You can even exercise lying down, how great is that?
A Pilates Reformer workout is a full body workout that is guided by the Pilates instructor who has designed the routine to flow from one exercise to the next, focusing on arms, legs and core.
Exercising on the reformer is easily customised for beginners, advanced and modified for pregnancy or any injuries.
